I have filled my absentee ballot and will take it to the post office tomorrow.

I’ve spent the past two days learning flash. It’s slow and tedious, but I think I’m going to like working in flash. I want to make a pink bunny game in flash for people to play.

I didn’t really sleep very well last night so I’ve been sorta foggy today.

I went to the Getty and saw the lilies. I always cry at the lilies.

I went to an amazing Lorna Simpson lecture tonight. It was great. She emphasized that the place she like to be in is in artistic crisis. I liked that. I’m going to go see her show on Thursday when it’s free. That is going to be my big museum day to see lacma, moca, and some other thing or two.

Tomorrow night I watch the debate. Who knows what I’ll do tomorrow.

Friday I’ve got art stuff to do.

Saturday I want to hang out with Mark Ross.

Sunday I want to leave early and go up to Santa Rosa.

My new car’s odometer doesn’t work, but I’m estimating 15-20 mpg. Not so good for a long road trip and an 8 gallon tank.

There is something in LA that is selfish. Something about being in a hurry and honking horns and waiting in bad traffic and driving so much. I want to get a club for the car. Instead I just unhooked the coil.

I wasn’t motivated to take any pictures.

Last night at artwalk an ikebana school was showing floral displays in all of the galleries. They were beautiful and Daniel and I loved them.

We also loved the show at howard house. Which I heartily recommend. Also the scene was hopping at grover thurston with Akio’s show. Over at the Western Building we saw Mike Sweeney’s work which is actually new work that is all sumi-e circles.

All in all it was a positive night with lots of things to compliment.

I’ve been thinking about what my next artistic project is going to be and trying to focus on what I want to say rather than what I can do, which is alot.

I’m going to do a tour of LA art for about a week next week when I go down to pickup my car and then drive back up. Lots of alone time, lots of reflection time.
