I’m testing this vlog post for the Earth Sanctuary Vlog that will be coming out soon. I’ve spent about an hour testing different settings but I’m stuck.
I’m having a problem with keyframes. What are they used for? I’m noticing that the picture throbs at each keyframe and I don’t like that. I’m using imovie and exporting with QT7.
I’ve got it set up with a keyframe every 15 frames and it’s 15 fps and it is set togo at 600 kbits/sec. There is a throb every second because of the keyframe. When I set it at a keyframe every 5 frames there was throbbing 3 times a second that looked really bad.
How do I get rid of the throb?
Also, I’m trying to set up a good workflow for getting from imovie to a wmv output. Anyone have a good way of doing that? I’ve got cleaner6, but there are so many options, it’s a little confusing.
On top of that, does the feedburner rss feed work?
Update: I’ve got the throbbing thing figured out, I’m going to switch to automatic keyframes or one every 100 frames. The rss feed appears to work. I still need to fuss with wmv stuff, but I’ve gotten a good start on my vlogging education over at the yahoo videoblogging group.

Looks great. What bright colors! Never seen that ‘throb’ before, though. Hope the videobloggers’ mailing list can help you figure it out! RSS feed works for me, too, though I noticed you have two in the item, which might make some aggregators choke.
I figured out the “throb” thing. I set it to keyframe every 5 frames and it’s overkill. I’ll fix it for the real post to be at something more like every 100 frames or something.
