Bre Pettis I Make Things

A month or so ago, I was eating with Jake and his son. Wyatt, at Super Bowl Noodles and the waiter brought us some chopsticks for Wyatt that had been made kid-friendly. When he was done eating, Jake held the modified chopsticks over his head and like a Samurai celebrating victory, declared, “This will be a video-podcast.”

Yeah! Go Wyatt!

I’ve seen this done before in restaurants but this is a great how to clip.

I’ve never seen a kid so happy to eat his broccolli! American parents should be having their kids use modified chopsticks to eat EVERYTHING!!!

Fun vid. But I can’t help wonder if this is how we lose basic skills. What happens years later when this child is still using training tweasers and has to go on a big sushi date? Oh the embarrasment. “Hey, look! Raymond still can’t pick up his nori without tweazers! Ha Ha Ha.” This is already a serious problem in several Northern European countries.
