Why? That was done with After Effects.

WOW. That was really an amazing video and I LOVE that it was put together from 15 second clips. Really reminds me that we don’t have to have fancy digital video camera to shoot and produce awesome video.

Steve, I can’t do multi-channel video on iMovie and I can do that with final cut!

you can do it with any means necessary. I think it would be more cumbersome to do it in FCP because it doesn’t have the tools to do speedy graphic treatments to the shots. But certainly it can be done.

You’ll love FCP, and the new version of Motion is more fun than a barrel full of chainsaw-mashed skateboards. Well, maybe not quite that much fun, but close. Certainly more fun than After Effects.

But you don’t have the specific control with Motion that you do with AfterEffects… yes you can do very sophisticated things with just the drop of a dime, but I like how AfterEffects is like a jackknife. You have to know how to use the tools, but once you do you can pretty much do almost anything with them.

I highly recommend the dvd tutorial series called Total Training, by the way. It’s amazing.
