We’ve been blogging up a storm over at NYC Resistor. I’ve been finding sources for conductive thread, jumping up and down over Octopart, showing a video about using piezos as sensors, and I found a gps belt that’s inspiring.
But I’m not the only one! Nick got his Lily Pads in (see above) and Eric went on about shift registers… go check it! - Link

So if you haven’t been around me in the past month, then you haven’t heard me gush about the awesomeness that is NYC Resistor. We’re a group of friends who are committed to learning, sharing, and making things. As of today, the hardware hacking club’s website is looking freaking hot!!!!!!!!!
George got things rolling and Nick and Eric are picking up speed and making the site look freaking awesome at nycresistor.com.
I’m currently working on a presentation about utopias and how as a contemporary culture we don’t have them. Do you think that humanity (and our ecosystem) has a shred of hope? Today Sanford Dickert had me in to his class to give a presentation on NYC Resistor. The themes of communication, community, and collaboration seemed to resonate with his class.
